Here's a little update. I just came back from the impound lot to gather the few personal items they left behind.
My entire stereo was stolen: Alpine head unit, Alpine EQ, PPI amp, Fosgate cap, MB Quart speakers, etc all gone. They cut up the entire console and shifter boot to steal it.
My autometer boost and fuel pressure guages were taken as well. They tried for the J&S but I think they couldn't figure out how to disconnect it from the ECU so they left it dangling.
My interior is cut in a few spots and the car WREAKS like WD40. The carpeting is completely ripped up on the passenger side. There is grease all over the panels, upholstery, steering wheel, etc. They sprayed it everywhere inside and out. Obviously my TE37s & Yokohama rubber are gone. They punched out the ignition and ripped open the dash.
Most of the things under the hood were undistrubed except they cut the vacuum line to my boost guage, line from FP gauge and the lines for the alarm were also cut. There are a few dings and scratches on the exterior as well though it's hard to tell since there is soo much WD-40 sprayed all over.
I expect my insurance company to total the car.
Yes I had an alarm and yes it was set. Code Elite if memory serves. I didn't have a club.

Don't rely too much on "The Club" if you've got one. My buddy is a repo man and I've seen him pick one of those things in like 30 seconds with a "standard" lockpick that I am sure is common equipment among thieves. I couldn't believe how little security was offered by "The Club"! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/eek.gif
If you want a tough steering wheel lock that is similar to "The Club", get the one that looks like it that has a key that is shaped like a phillips head screwdriver. He said that that thing is very hard to pick.
The bottom line is that if someone wants your car bad enough, they will usually get it. But...we try to avoid being just a random target and it is best to make it as difficult as possible to protect you from a random theft.
Again, sorry about your loss, Marc. I can't imagine seeing my pride and joy ripped apart like that. Work with the insurance company and hopefully, you'll come out ahead in the end. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

I am at a total loss for words. Although we all know that this type of crap happens daily, car theft hurts and it hurts deep. This just shouldn't happen to a guy as nice as you.
I pray for you... I know that you are a man of strong character... and I am confident that you will re-build... and it will be better than ever.
I will also pray that the little rat-bastards that did this to you and your lovely ride will suffer an agonizing death...

At a time like this it can be good to believe in Karma : somehow those little bastards are going to get paid in full.
Its also comforting to know that "the wages of sin are death", which just about fits the crime of stealing a guys ride...
If you should find out who is responsable, dont forget to pay them a visit with a crew of "real hard pipe hittin' *******", just to make sure they pay you what you are owed, in full (and I'm not talking about $$$).

Dude I feel for ya man, extremely. I had my gsr stolen 1 week before X-mas in my own apartment building with the spare key my vallet has, waste of F#@kin sperms they are, but anyhow it put a huge damper on my whole cheerfulness and on top of that only thing that got stolen was my radio head unit and that same weekend my turbo was gonna go in. Instead I had to repair te fender because of whomever or whatever they hit pay 250 bucks for the release from towing. Shit I hate talking about this, pisses me off even more.
All I can say MArc is get a CLIFFORD with Antijack and no more worries and if that doesn't work just throw a rattlesnake up in the car, that tends to work as well http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your encouraging words. This was quite difficult for me. This car was more than just a means of transportation it was a hobby and a passion. It was a symbol of 4+ years of hard work and dedication. Seeing it sitting in the wrecking yard amongst the other wrecked cars brought a tear to my eye.
I had to force myself to take pictures. Perhaps if I ever have the courage to develop the roll of film, I'll post the pics if you're interested. What's worse is somebody I know was offered to buy a set of rims just a day after mine were stolen. They were the exact size and had the exact same tires and tire size. I know those are my rims. But with no serial numbers or distinguising marks there is no way to prove it.
The insurance company called me to tell me they are totalling the car. We will begin discussing a settlement next week.
